

Youth Sports Complex
On Dec. 17, 2020, the Brownsburg Town Council approved a plan to purchase 106 acres from the Brownsburg Community School Corporation to bring 12 ballfields and a new community park to the north side of town.
The $15.5 million project calls for the Town to develop six baseball and six softball diamonds along with other site amenities on 40 acres that will be leased to Brownsburg Little League Baseball (BLLB) and the Brownsburg Girls Softball League (BGSL). The remainder of the property will become a future park with amenities and facilities to address key recreation priorities in the northern part of the community. The site is located between CR N 900 E, CR N 1000 E, CR E 700 N and CR E 750 N.


Site Master Planning Process
Planning
Staff works with stakeholders to develop plans that take into account costs, maintenance, operational efficiency and impact on the community. Concepts are developed, discussed and consensus is reached.
Design
Specifications are developed which complies with all applicable regulations and codes at the local, state and federal levels.
Construction
Building on the final design is completed. Modifications to design may be necessary due to site conditions or other circumstances.
Complete
Park is built and regulatory inspections have been passed. The park is open for fun!
Current Stage: Planning
During the Planning Stage, staff will work with consultants and community members to identify park amenities. Priorities for amenities will be based on Brownsburg Parks’ Strategic Master Plan, which was created using survey data provided by residents. Based on the Master Plan, the park is expected to include:
Phase 1 –
- Six baseball fields and six softball fields, to be leased to the Brownsburg Little League Baseball and the Brownsburg Girls Softball League
Phase 2 –
- Open space for a variety of field sports
- Playground
- Multi-purpose building
