Experience what it means to be a true adventurer with Trailblazers Adventure Camp. Designed to expose teenagers to a wide variety of exciting and engaging activities over the summer, this camp is the perfect opportunity to get your teen off the couch, stretch them out of their comfort zone, and experience some of the most exciting places in Central Indiana!
Who: Ages 12-16
When: Monday-Friday. Programming: 9 am-4 pm. Drop off: 6:30-8 am. Pick up: 4-6 pm
Where: Cardinal Elementary School, 3590 Hornaday Road, Door J
Cost: Weekly Fee: $155, $165 with payment plan (includes $25 non-refundable deposit). *Special Programming Fee: $185
Week 1 (June 1-4) No Camp on Memorial Day (May 31)
Theme: The Great Escape
Field Trip: Escape Room /Glow Golf
Campers bring your thinking caps, problem solving skills, communication and teamwork abilities to try and get out of the Escape Room before the clock runs out! Will they make it in time? This week will be filled with crazy challenges, stem projects, and mazes, come help us find our way out! We need YOUR help! To end the week our special guest, Rachel from The Purple Palette, will also be coming to get the creative juices rolling and help campers create a mural masterpiece.
Week 2 (June 7-11)
Theme: Outdoor Adventures
Field Trip: Camptown Fishing Trip (Ft. Benjamin State Park)/ Natural Valley Ranch
We are taking it outside this week for all kinds of amazing adventures! Campers will be traveling to Ft. Benjamin Harrison State Park for a fun filled day full of fishing! From baiting the hook to reeling in their big catch, campers will be spending all day outside in the fresh summer air. Campers will also have the opportunity to visit Natural Valley Ranch to tour the barn, help feed and brush the animals, and choose a horse to ride through the trails of Brownsburg. Week 3 (June 14-18)
Theme: Zombie Apocalypse (Special Programming Fee)
Field Trip: Camptown-Camping Overnight Turkey Run (Special Programming Fee ), Zombie Scavenger Hunt, Royal Pin Laser Tag
This just in: A virus is spreading through the Town of Brownsburg that is leaving its victims in a horrible zombie-like state! To survive, campers will practice their hunting skills playing laser tag, follow clues to track down where the zombies are gathering and save the world from this growing epidemic! After saving the world, campers will travel to Turkey Run State Park for an overnight hiking and camping adventure led by Camptown. Will your teen survive the zombie apocalypse?
Week 4 (June 21-25)
Theme: Trailblazer Top Chef
Field Trip: The Waterpark, Carmel
Special Guest: Cooking with Claudia Simion (BCSC Café Operations Specialist)
Campers will battle it out and compete for the title of “Trailblazer Top Chef”. Special guest Claudia Simion will help campers learn basic food preparation safety, discover how to use a variety of ingredients to create unique flavors, and make their food come to life. A panel of expert judges will put the food to the test and crown the winner Trailblazer Top Chef! Don’t miss out on this fun filled week in the kitchen!
Week 5 (June 28-July 2)
Theme: Going Down Under…
Field Trip: Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana Caverns Family Adventure Park
Down, down we go! This week we are descending 110 feet underground to learn about the rich history of Indiana Caverns. During the tour of Indiana Caverns campers will enjoy a 25 minute boat ride on the underground river, experience panoramic views of Big Bone Mountain, and an amazing waterfall. Campers will uncover the cave’s rich past and the animals that called it home, as you learn about its ancient ice age bones. You don’t want to miss out on this breathtaking experience!
Week 6 (July 5-9)
Theme: Olympic Training
Field Trip: Brownsburg Bowl, White River Canoe Trip (Camptown)
Calling all campers that are ready to work hard! We are looking for campers that want to train hard, play hard, and get ready for the Summer Olympics. After putting campers through training, they will be put to the test as they canoe down the White River.
Week 7 (July 12-16)
Theme: Sports Mania
Field Trip: Cruz/ Eagle Creek Park (Camptown)
Bring your positive attitudes and good sportsmanship this week to camp as we play all the sports! We will focus on learning basic fundamentals of sports like baseball, soccer, basketball, and many more. Campers will also have the chance to go rock climbing, and enjoy an educational experience at Eagle Creek Park hiking the trails with Camptown. We hope you join us for this week full of challenging experiences!
Week 8 (July 19-23)
Theme: Let’s Scuba! Outer Reef Scuba (Special Programming Fee)
Field Trip: Scuba Lessons (BHS Pool)
This week is the perfect opportunity for your camper to get their flippers wet and learn the basics of scuba diving! Led by Outer Reef Scuba, campers will experience safe scuba diving instruction under the supervision of a certified dive master. Campers will receive an SDI Discovery Certification Certificate, a t-shirt, and some top-notch fun and training. All scuba gear will be provided. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime experience! Week 9 (July 26-29)
Theme: Summer Vacation
Field Trip: Holiday World, Santa Clause IN (Special Programing Fee)
Come help us say “goodbye to summer” in style by taking a mini summer vacation to Holiday World! Get ready for roller-coasters, waterparks, sun, FUN, and a pizza party! This is a summer vacation with your friends that you will never forget! Campers will leave early Tuesday morning and arrive home late that night. Don’t miss out on celebrating the last week of summer vacation with us!

How do I register?
To get started, visit our website and create an account (for mobile users, view the full site). After signing in, look under the Activities tab, select Camps, and choose your preferred week(s) and payment option by clicking “Add to Cart” and “Enroll Now.”
Participants must be registered prior to using our services. If your child is not registered at the time of drop off, please be prepared to make a payment on site via debit/credit card or check.
What should I bring to camp?
Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt and water bottle on the first day of camp.
- AM and PM Snack
- Labeled bottle of sunscreen
- Labeled water bottle
- Swim suit, towel, and a plastic bag for wet clothes(for swimming days)
- Camp T-shirt (must be worn on field trip days)
On Tuesdays, we will go to the Brownsburg High School pool.
Lifeguards at BHS will issue a swim test to anyone who does not want to wear a life jacket. To pass the swim test, the camper must be able to swim the length of the pool without touching the bottom, keep his or her head above the water, and be able to swim without getting too tired.
If a lifeguard determines a camper is not a strong swimmer, the camper will be directed to wear a life jacket. Campers who pass the swim test will receive a bracelet indicating they know how to swim and will be allowed to jump off of the small diving board.
Any camper who does not want to take the swim test will be directed to wear a life jacket. Any camper who chooses not to swim or forgets his or her swim gear will stay behind with the age group that stays at camp.
What are my payment options?
We accept checks, money orders or credit/debit cards on-site, online and in person at the Brownsburg Parks Office, 402 E. Main St.
When you register for camp online, you will be given the choice to pay in full or set up a payment plan. If you choose to pay via a payment plan, you will need to pay a non-refundable $25 deposit up front to reserve your child’s spot.
The remaining camp fees will be due the Monday before the week of camp that you registered for.
Brownsburg Parks is moving away from paper forms and is using ePACT Network to store all comprehensive health and emergency contact information more securely. You will only need to complete this form once a year to save you time and make registration even easier for you!
