Virgil Park

9145 E. County Rd. 300 N.

About This Location

Virgil Park is a 6.67-acre parcel of land located in the southeast portion of Brownsburg south of CR 300N and just east of CR 900E. This property will be developed to provide additional parking for B&O Trail users. The concept includes amenities such as a small playground, shelter and restroom facility.

The majority of the property will feature natural elements that maintain the integrity of the wetlands already on the property. Wetlands, consisting of prairie grasses and flowers, will serve the property by helping with stormwater control as well as creating a habitat for certain plants and animal species.

315 W. Main St. Property

About This Location

The Town of Brownsburg purchased this 51-acre property from the Tague family in June 2018. Located just west of the intersection of Green and Main Street, the expansive acreage has the potential to house multi-use fields along with a wetlands area.

The former family home also could potentially serve as a nature center. The community will assist in the future design of the park.

West Wynne Property

About This Location

Brownsburg Parks acquired the West Wynne Property off Northfield Dr. in 2014.

 

This park will provide additional parking for B&O Trail users.
