Butler University mascot Blue will join Town officials at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Cardinal Bark Park, the Town’s first public dog park. The event will begin at 9 a.m. at Cardinal Park, 3432 Hornaday Rd.
“The enthusiasm for this park has been amazing,” said Brownsburg Parks Director Travis Tranbarger. “Within two weeks of opening on July 6, more than 150 people had applied for membership.”
The 2-acre dog park features separate areas for large and small dogs, natural play features like rocks, wash stations and dog fountains. Guests will appreciate the year-round restroom facility located adjacent to the dog park.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer the community another resource to get outside during the Covid-19 pandemic,” Town Manager Jeffery Eder said.
You don’t have to be a Brownsburg resident to enjoy the dog park. To apply for membership, visit https://brownsburgparks.com/cardinal-bark-park/. Membership fees are $10 per dog for regular members and $8 per dog for Brownsburg residents living within the Town’s limits. You may register up to three dogs.
