Brownsburg residents and business owners can get a behind-the-scenes look at how the Town of Brownsburg operates during the upcoming Leadership Brownsburg Academy 8-session program. The program will allow participants to grow in their leadership, analyze issues using data, connect with decision-makers and other Brownsburg leaders, and make a difference in our community. At the end of the program, participants will have a greater understanding of enhanced understanding of Town of Brownsburg's decision-making.
Applications will be available through January 13. Applicants will be notified by January 20 of their acceptance into the program. Leadership Brownsburg Academy is free to Brownsburg residents and business owners 18 and older.

How does the Town attract top Fortune 500 companies like Mercury Marine/Brunswick Corporation?
Learn about the economic development process, from attracting a business to building and zoning, from the Town's Economic Development Director and Development Services Department.

How does the Town determine whether to install a roundabout or light signal at a dangerous intersection?
During the Capital Projects, Street, and Fleet session, participants will learn what data the Town uses to determine the best traffic improvements. Additionally, participants will learn about the process for major infrastructure projects and tour the Fleet Maintenance building.

How much do you know about what happens to drinking water before it reaches your faucet?
Participants will learn about the water about how drinking water is prepared for consumption from the Town's Water Department. In addition, participants will tour the Wastewater Treatment Plant to see how water is treated after its flushed!

How does the Parks Department design a new park?
Get an inside look at Virgil Park, with construction beginning in spring 2023. Learn how the Parks Department uses resident feedback and community needs to design parks. Plus, take a walking tour of Arbuckle Acres Park with the Natural Resources Manager to see how natural resources within the park system are maintained.

How many service calls do the Police Department and Fire Territory respond to in a year?
Public safety continues to be a top priority for the community. Learn how Brownsburg continues to be recognized as one of the safest cities in Indiana. This session will also include a tour of the Brownsburg Police Training Facility.
