Explorers Program

The explorer program which is run through Learning for Life, is a program for young adults, ages 14 to 20 (must have completed the 8th grade) to learn more about a career field that they are interested in. The Brownsburg Police Department offers a Law Enforcement Explorer Program that meets twice a month and has a mini academy in July. We do everything from crime scene investigation, defensive tactics, use simulators, tactical gear, robots, drones, study criminal law, behavioral science as well as many other areas of Law Enforcement. Anyone interested can get involved even if they don’t live in Brownsburg. For more information please reach out to Captain Pat Bullock - pbullock@brownsburgpolice.org

Mission

The intent of the Brownsburg Police Department Explorer Program is: To train the youth of today for the future that awaits them in the law enforcement field of tomorrow by stimulating interest in law enforcement practices and Code of Ethics, promoting leadership, responsibility, self-confidence, character and citizenship; and enabling them to perform community service functions that relieve sworn officers.
